Chutes Provincial Park - Imperial Street, Massey

The rapids and picturesque waterfalls of the Aux Sables Rivers are the highlights of this recreation park. The region’s historic importance as a logging centre is still seen in the composition of the sand along the beach.



The park features 132 campsites, 56 with electricity. Several short trails provide spectacular views of the river. Chutes is the only provincial park along the Trans-Canada Highway between Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie.

Killarney Provincial Park - Highway 637, Killarney

Killarney beautiful and vast tract of wilderness equipped with crystal-blue lakes, spectacular range of white quartzite ridges, pine and hardwood forests, and boggy lowlands. It is in real beauty as well as magnificent, and its unspoiled scenery has inspired many artists, including members of the Group of Seven. Located on the north shore of Georgian Bay, northeast of Sudbury, the main entrance is on Highway 637. The park has 130 campground sites (no electricity) plus 180 interior sites. It is open year-round with the office open May though Thanksgiving.

Mississagi Provincial Park - Highway 639, Elliot Lake

Except for its campsites and hiking trails, much of Mississaagi’s land is underdeveloped. The park is unspoiled, but for the still-noticeable effects of logging and a forest fire. Native peoples have inhabited the park area for many centuries. Within the park, there is evidence of old hunting and fishing camps of the Mississauga tribe.
