Review: Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime - Good Sub-$200 Smartphone

The Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime is presently one of the best phones under the category of sub-$200 price tag. Cricket, prepaid subsidiary of AT&T, is offering it for jsut $180.



The best things about the device are its powerful front and rear cameras that snaps decent photos, the it also comes with LTE technology in terms of connectivity. The phone has attractive build too.

Design

The Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime sports a 5-inch TFT display offering resolutions of 960x540 pixels. This may make videos and games pixelated to some extent, but it is good for browsing and reading. It has a premium look with glossy off-white face and a pearlescent back cover. The rim has silver accents.

OS

The device runs on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system with the touch of Samsung's own TouchWiz on top of the Android. Many may have expected Android 5.0 Lollipop, but considering the price a compromise of this kind is okay.
