Roman Ruins: The Roman poet Catullo built a villa containing baths to take advantage of Sirmeone’s natural springs. Between the well-kept ruins, the museum of artifacts discovered there, and the setting on a point surrounded by the lake, Grotte di Catullo is well worth the stroll from town (or take the little tourist train).
