London's Stansted Airport Evacuated After Car Park Shuttle Bus Bursts Into Flames

London's Stansted Airport at Stansted Mountfitchet in Uttlesford (Essex) was evacuated Friday afternoon after a bus burst into flames outside the building.


An official tweet the airport authority at 16:40 BST confirmed that parts of the terminal building were evacuated due to fire on a car park shuttle bus and they are investigating it as a matter of urgency.

According to Essex Fire Service four fire crews were deployed to take control of the fire.

Eyewitnesses and video footage reveals the fire broke near the terminal forecourt.








Friday was one of the busiest days of the year when people get away for Easter break.

At around 17:12 the airport authority tweeted fire has been put off and things are returning to normal operations.

It is yet to be known what caused the fire in the bus.
