It was the worst winter for the people of Nottinghamshire in years and following it some of the worst potholes have been revealed. After cold weather and snowfall the conditions of roads have become a nightmare. Motorists and residents report the cracks have damaged their cars, costing millions to repair.

Just two weeks ago snow had fallen and the worst affected areas include Carlton and Arnold in Gedling.

Tyres of her car had to be changed two times in the period along with the checkup work of alignment and suspension.

Another resident said even though the maintenance workers had repaired the roads targeting the potholes by filling those up several months ago, but those have come up again due to cold weather.

On the Greendale Road in Arnold it is learned about forty potholes can be found. Those were shoved by concrete solution late last year but the cold weather has made them re-appear.

Lately the central Government to Nottinghamshire County Council released 1.6 million pound to repair damaged road.

Earlier this year the authority announced its four-year pothole repair budget of 20 millin pound and 111 roads were identified to be benefited the first.
