Tottenham (UK) | 2 April 2018:

A 17-year-old girl was killed in a shooting between rival gangs in North London's Tottenham Monday evening, at around 10 p.m. local time.

The incident took place at Chalgrove Road and police spokesman said the girl was found with a gun shot wound at the scene.

Met Police received a call of a shooting at around 9:30 p.m. local time and despite best efforts of London Ambulance Service the girl couldn't be saved. The unnamed teen girl died at 10:43 p.m. local time at the scene.

After the call police officers rushed to Tottenham, N17, along with LAS.

No arrests have been made and manhunt has been launched.

In another incident a 16-year-old boy was stabbed in East London's Walthamstow. He is fighting for life.

Until now, this year, about half ton people have been killed. A day ago street violence knifed to death a 20-year-old man in South London's Wandsworth while he was leaving a bar in the early hours of Easter Sunday. He was the 13th person killed in London in past nineteen days.

Meanwhile, police is combing the area and questioning eye witnesses. No arrests have been made in this incident too.

Police spokesman said a call was received about shooting at Markhouse Road, E17, at around 10 p.m. local time. Officers rushed to the scene and found a teenage boy with gun shot injuries. He is now in critical condition at an east London hospital.

For the first time in history the murder rate in the capital has overtook New York. The knife violence has mostly increased since the beginning of 2018.

In the month of February fifteen people were murdered and in January the figure was 22.
