Outlet Shopping in Orlando, Florida

Despite its being home to three huge theme parks, many visitors to Orlando still respond to the lure of the area's many outlet malls.

Admittedly, the combination of lower prices and stores not found back home is hard to resist.

Here is a rundown on the five main outlet shopping centers in Orlando.

Festival Bay Mall at International Drive

This mall has stores not found at the other outlets in town, and it also has some great restaurants and indoor activities perfect for rainy days.

Among the more popular stores are the Ron Jon Surfshop, Black Market Minerals (great cheap jewelry and trinkets), and the Universal Orlando outlet store selling merchandise from the parks.

One can also learn to fish at the Bass Pro Shops, practice the latest moves at the Vans indoor skate park, play glow-in-the-dark mini golf or just go to a movie at the Cinemark theater.

Festival Bay is located across the street from the Orlando Premium Outlet - International Drive, near Universal Orlando.

Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores

This mall is smaller and easier to navigate than the nearby Orlando Premium Outlet – Vineland Road. The mall is laid out in a square around the parking lot, so it's a lot easier to get a spot nearer to the store of choice.

Stores include Aeropostale, Old Navy, Nike Factory Outlet, Converse Shoes, a Toys"R"Us Express, and the Book Warehouse.

This mall also has a free shuttle pick-up to and from many area hotels. It is located near Walt Disney World.

Orlando Premium Outlets – International Drive

Formerly known as the Prime Outlets and the Belz Factory Outlet Mall, this mall has undergone both a major renovation and another name change in the past few years.

Expect stores ranging from designer outlets like Betsy Johnson, Juicy Couture and Ed Hardy to discounters like Forever 21, Rue 21 and Surf Warehouse.

This mall is home to one of two official Disney Character Warehouse stores, which sell older and overstock merchandise from the parks at a discount. It's great for cheaper souvenirs.

This mall is close to Universal Orlando.

Orlando Premium Outlets – Vineland Road

Similar to the other Premium Outlets, this mall features a mixture of designer outlets and discounters. In fact, the list of stores is very similar.

The reason it's worth it to visit both is that different merchandise gets shipped to each mall per store. So it's possible you may find a must have item at one and not the other.

This mall is closest to Walt Disney World and is home to the other Disney Character Warehouse.

Outlet Marketplace

This is another mall that's had many names, including Belz Designer Outlet and Prime Outlets – Outlet Marketplace.

This outlet mall is smaller but it also has a mixture of designer outlets and discounters like Calvin Klein, Guess, Reebok and Tommy Hilfiger.
