Connecting flights in Panama City can fly to Houston, Texas with Continental.
TACA - The Costa Rican air carrier has made Lima it’s South American hub. Flights go direct from Santiago to Lima and then to Sao Paolo, Guayaquil, San Jose, San Salvador and Miami.

Gol Airlines - This Brazilian low cost airline recently began a rapid expansion on the South American continent and added Santiago as their sole Chilean destination. Flights go direct to Buenos Aires or Lima where you can transfer to Rio, Sao Paolo, Recife, Salvador, or Florianopolis.
