Soon Apple may be able to come up with such an iPhone that would sport a foldable display. A Bank of America analyst predicts the earliest to happen would be 2020.
Bank of America Merrill Lynch analyst Wamsi Mohan said, in a note to investors, the much rumored device could be unveiled in two years time.
He adds such a foldable nature could be another major selling point for Apple as large-screen device would have portability of a smartphone.
In October 2017 a report claimed LG has formed a task force to produce regid flexible printed circuit and a foldable OLED panel for future model of Apple's iPhone. The same report added that such a device could be unveiled in 2020.
LG has been working on such a foldable device for past couple of years and it was also rumored earlier about it to be collaborating with Apple for the project.
Meanwhile, it is important to note Apple has filed for patents in the folding device field in 2016.
